‘68 Cougar

1968 Mercury Cougar

Owned, built, and driven daily for decades by Pure Vision employee Kelly Cox!  This car ended up on the cover of Hot Rod Magazine in 2000 after Kelly consulted on a few design ideas with his buddy Steve Strope.  The unique color was inspired by a picture of the SoCal Street Rod build '32 Ford "Limefire" and its high impact was the inspiration for many Cougars created by die-cast model companies including Hot Wheels and Johnny Lightning.

After suffering a T-bone collision in 2007, being repaired, and incurring the wrath of a cleated bicyclist in 2011, the Cougar is undergoing a major facelift but will return in its signature color!
